We use a Schatten pickup winder to produce hand guided scatter wound pickups.  

Reasons for choosing hand wound pickups

Hand winding reduces capacitance in the pick up coil which leads to more middle and treble frequencies being present in the pickup.  A pickup that is  completely machine wound and guided may lack treble or middle frequencies.  

With a hand wound pickup you will own a pick up that is unique and that also has a great tone.

Wax Potting

All Pickups are wax potted using paraffin wax to avoid microphonic feedback.
